What is Phase One?

Well, if you have found our website, you may quickly notice that we have only recently opened.  RevoStock.com was opened as a BETA site in early May to a limited number of people.  Then on May 17th, we extended that reach a bit more with some targeted banner ads.

RevoStock.com is the world's FIRST and only community based stock footage site of it's kind.  What does that mean?  It means that our footage is provided by our community members. This allows us to offer prices that are actually affordable to the independent producer, filmmaker, videographer and beyond!  It also means that our stock footage producers aren't anonymous.  When you upload footage to the site YOU get credit for it with your own profile page and portfolio.  So, not only are you paid royalties, but you and your footage are "made famous!"

So, what does Phase One mean?  Well, since our footage is provided by our community members, our library will obviously be slim at first.  Phase one is our "Footage Accumulation" stage.  Here is what you can expect during Phase One:

• While there will be (and already has been) a steady and growing library of stock footage added to RevoStock.com, at first the amount will be small compared to other established stock footage sites.  However, from the response we have received so far, we are confident that our collection will grow quickly!  This is why during Phase One, we won't be doing any major marketing/advertising.  We want to build a decent base of footage first.
  


• Because our focus during Phase One is on building a library of footage, our Producers should realize that sales of their footage may not add up to much at first.  Please be patient.  It will come.  Once we have an acceptable amount of clips on the site, we will launch a much larger advertising campaign (Phase Two.)  So, in the meantime, upload as many quality clips as possible!  It will only bring us to Phase Two faster!
  


• Expect a few speedbumps along the road.  Phase one is also our BETA phase.  While we have already had users extensively testing our site, there are sure to be some more bugs and issues.  Please be patient with us as we iron these out.  Hopefully, you can see already that our goal is to make this website as user-friendly as possible, but video is complex!  Uploading, downloading, codecs....  So, please use our HelpDesk to let us know of any bugs or problems you come across.  We have done a lot of research to create the best setup and method for delivering your footage to the world.
